This harness is recommended for dogs who pull well. It directs all pulling force to the shoulders and chest, away from the neck and hugs the body without restricting lung capacity or leg movement.

Bought this harness for my Doberman x Pointer who is a very strong puller and always up in front on our runs, she runs with her head down and back usually arched which I felt the Zero DC Long would suit her most as it’s open around the back.
With all the pulling she does this harness really doesn’t seem to restrict her neck or breathing as I know it’s well advertised as focussing it all on the shoulders instead which it clearly does do.
The harness itself has been through the wars with mud, water, frozen conditions, watching machine, tumble dryer and yet nothing has actually worn the harness down, all the seams are still in place, the colour is still nice and bright, with having such a strong dog I’m very confident that this harness with everything it’s been through can still hold her and it wouldn’t break or fall apart on a run.
It’s relatively easy to get on and off, there are easier harness but theres also harder harness to try and get on dogs.
I wouldn’t however say this harness is suitable for a dog that doesn’t pull well or more likely to run by your side.

Was recommended Sporty Paws through my club Tailrunners after unsuccessfully getting a wrong size harness from a different place. Sporty Paws were very helpful with choosing the right harness and size for my dog. He is a Springer Spaniel and a real puller. We went for the Zero DC long which fitted brilliantly and kept him running out at front but using his weight correctly from the back and not pulling from the front or choking either. Highly recommend this harness.

I love these dc long harnesses, all 4 of my huskies have these and the range of colours are awesome!

  4. Rowenna Darlington

Excellent harness, used for canicross and bikejor, tough material, wash well, dry quickly, light weight, fit well especially my deeper Chested boy, dogs can back out of them if they wanted too but for dogs who pull or like to be out in front definietly recommended.

  5. Mary Busby

I bought one of these for my Bearded Collie, after getting help with the size I got a small, fits both of my 2 girls perfectly, doesn’t slip, doesn’t even cause too many knots. Fabulous colour choice. The girls don’t even want to take it off, so it must ge comfy. Can’t thank you enough

  6. Vicky

Love this harness for strong pulling pointer – always out front. Tried other long style harnesses and she objected to them by her tail, however this one she tolerates well.
