I’ve used a variety of shock absorbers over the years and this one is by far the best. In all honesty it’s not one I would have bought had I only seen the online pictures. It looks quite different to other designs and it was hard to tell how big it was.
However, for some time I had been searching for one that would better meet my requirements when running mid-distance. The shock absorbers I had I felt were too long and had too much give which affects both power and steering. Running without one was an option but I much prefer to have a shock absorber.
When I was able to properly have a look at one of these shock absorbers I was really impressed. I bought the XXL and used it with an 8-dog team on the sled, it was perfect. It’s nice and short (33cm) with the rubber only stretching when it really needs to. I bought another one and it has since proven to be equally impressive with a 12-dog team on a quad.
