Description
This belt was developed with close cooperation with some of the World`s best athletes within sleddog sports. With their input we made sure that the belt helps to maintain a good skiing technique while skijoring with a dog that is pulling. The belts shape concentrates the pull force around the hips to save the lower back, while also providing the hips free movement for skating.
The Bungee leash is attached close to the body on a fixed point; this is to have smoother contact with the dog, and to make it easier to maintain balance when skiing. Adjustable straps help to fit the belt to the optimal form and to hold in place. The belt comes with a Quick release snap hook, which is a quick-release to detach the dog and is suitable for racing.
The Løype belt`s core material is HexiVent; a triple mesh fabric with exceptional ventilation properties that dries fast. The belt is super light, made for professional racing, and is very comfortable to wear. High-strength aluminum buckles and Hypalon reinforcement on stressed points assure reliability regardless weather conditions and longevity. The loops on the belt are there to attach a leash, doggy bags, or other light equipment weighing up to 0,5kg. On the backside, there is a storage pocket with room for a smartphone, keys, and an energy bar. The back has also reflective details for high visibility in the dark.

I bought this belt specifically for skijoring and it has been worth every penny. Previously I was using a basic walking belt and the difference is marked.
Firstly the belt is of excellent quality, robust yet incredibly light. I was initially worried about the leg straps but never noticed them. It helps enormously with technique – the belt sits much lower meaning the pulling force is concentrated around the hips yet leaves them free to move.
As a someone who only skijores recreationally, mainly to exercise older dogs, I never thought I’d appreciate the difference as much as I do. It really saves your back and helps with balance. I’ve also used this for canicross and reaped the same benefits over a basic walking belt. The pocket at the back is a good size and there are handy loops to hang things on like warmer gloves.
