Hi, I’m Laura of Dog Ways Lancashire.
I’m currently owned by three dogs, and the one I participate in Canicross with is my Border Collie, Djinn. He has seemingly endless energy and a great work drive which benefits from the teamwork and collaboration that Canicross brings. He always has a happy smile on his face at the end of every run!
We’re relatively new to Canicross, having only started this year, but we’re loving every minute of our journey so far and can’t wait to get others started on their own Canicross journeys too. My goal is to help dog owners see exactly how much they can do with their dogs, how canine activities can help grow the bond between dogs and their humans, and show them all the fun they can have along the way.
I offer a range of Canicross activities, from Introduction sessions and individual 1-2-1 training through to Couch 2 5K Programmes, and group/social runs. Whether you like to run in a group for the social aspect of training, or run by yourself for the benefit of clearing your headspace, you’ll find that involving your dog will make the experience more enjoyable and rewarding for you both.
Outside of Canicross I’m a dog trainer, Mantrailing UK instructor and working towards my World Scent Dog Association instructor qualification as well. When I get a spare moment I practice with my own dogs in mantrailing, agility, shepherding, scent detection and trick training.
