Chloe Llywarch – Canicross
Hi, I’m Chloe. I run with my German shepherd, Sasha.
I’ve always loved dogs ever since I was little. As a mischievous teenager I secretly brought home a German shepherd puppy (who didn’t stay secret for long).
She was very nervous and reactive, so I started to learn more about dog training by reading books and studies.
I fell in love with dog training so enrolled on the BCCS level 4 canine behaviour and training diploma.
I started to get involved in dog sports with Sasha several years ago. We joined Whitchurch IGP club where I learned about tracking, obedience and protection training.
We started canicross when Sasha was 18 months. Local groups were very welcoming and happy for us to try out new kit and share knowledge with us.
We are excited to be attending our first races this year.
With a combination of behaviour training and taking part in dog sports, Sasha has massively improved. Watching my dog go from being scared of everything to a confident and happy is the best feeling in the world. I want to help others achieve their best potential with their dogs.
The sporty paws course was a fantastic learning experience and I can’t wait to start teaching others! I am currently taking enquires for future sessions.
