Hi, I’m Alex, Sporty Paws Cani-cross Instructor and certified Dog Trainer. 

I’m based at the Peak Performance Dog Gym in Dronfield, North Derbyshire

Here’s snapshot of me:

• Six years + working professionally and volunteering with dogs
• Canine conditioning and fitness specialist
• Canine behaviour and clinical massage student

When I was younger I trained at a high level in athletics and competed at local and national level for four years. My love for sport then took me to sprint triathlon and the occasional 10k. I don’t compete in sport at the moment, I solely do it for fun. And of course having a Border Collie is a great way to keep fit and have cani-hike and cani-cross adventures.

I’m currently conducting independent research into preventative care for cani-cross dogs as well as incorporating cani-cross specific exercises into my canine conditioning programmes.
