Our Ambassadors

Keep an eye out for our awesome ambassadors. They will be showcasing and reviewing the products you will find in our web shop (look out for their posts on Facebook and Instagram) . Both of them are dog mad and both of them compete nationally/internationally so make sure you follow them on their adventures!

Ellie Camacho:

Ellie has 4 dogs, two of whom are rescue, ranging from 12 months to 4 years in age. Sled dog sports has given her the excuse to travel all around the UK and Europe.

Her dogs have participated in many different types of racing, from on snow as part of a 4 dog sled sprint team to Ultra Trail Racing.

Ellie has competed in Canicross at distances of over 27 miles, as well as multi day events such as the TDM. This year will see her and the dogs racing in the TSB – another multi day event – in France in October. Ellie will also be attempting to compete on the rig in the coming season.

Her dogs also enjoy swimming, chasing waves (and squirrels), some walking, and lounging around at home.

Ellie’s Team: Ruby – Collie x, Esme – Eurohound, Bandit – Scandinavian Hound and Solly – Greysther.

Jacob Burgess:

Jacob is a young lad full of life and passion for racing his dogs. He is 8 years of age and lives in Malvern, near the Malvern Hills, which has influenced his passion for the outdoors and mountain biking. His dad, a keen camper and a dog lover, introduced him to the sport. He started running dogs at the age of 6 with his small husky called Kali on a mountain bike and fell in love with the sport. Jacob then spent a whole summer on his bike at the local downhill trails where he honed his skills and grew more confident which then led to him running Kali’s bigger sister Kia the following autumn.

Aged 7, he was invited to the UK9 woodland to meet and run dogs with like minded children. This is where he was encouraged to enter his first race, a junior canicross race at Sherwood and placed 4th. His first wheeled race was at Pembury in South Wales 2019, where he placed 2nd. This is the moment Jacob started taking things seriously and put all his effort into his training.

The success soon started to follow. Jacob took part in SDAS race in Sherwood in 2019 where he ran his new dog Milo, a purpose bred Eurohound and came 1st! Then a BSSF race in Thetford followed where he ran Milo and placed 1st again. Jacob and Milo have truly bonded over this period and he feels that this is the secret to his success so far, the fact he can put 100% trust in his dog.

In January 2020, he and his dad packed up their camping gear and again attended the BSSF race in Pembury, South Wales and yet again Jacob came 1st!!! This meant a second medal in the season and Jacob started gearing himself up for the last race of the season in Scotland. Sadly this race has been cancelled and although Jacob is absolutely devastated he is already looking forward to the next season.

Jacob’s kennel consists of two huskies Kali and Kia, and his golden boy Milo the Eurohound. Recently Milo and Kali had puppies, two of which Hattie and Seal are now part of Jacob’s kennel and will be racing in his team sometime in the future.

Matt Tuckey:

Matt got his first dog in 2010, a year later he competed in his first ever race doing 1 dog scooter, not long after that he got 2 more dogs and started racing in the 4 dog classes around the UK.

A friend of his gave him the opportunity to handle for him in the world championships on snow in Germany and in Sweden, allowing Matt to learn more and meet new people.

Matt also now has 6 puppies, with the goal of competing in the world championships over the coming seasons.

Matt’s Team: Tye, Bonnie, Blue, Stig, Stella, Red, Ranger, Tracer and Tucker – All Huskies!!

Tonin Aguilera:

Tonin has been active on the UK sled dog scene since moving back to the UK in 2007, competing in all classes from scooter up to 4 dog with his Siberian Huskies. He has consistently placed in the top three and even winning Championships with ABSA, AMWA and BSHRA.

More recently he and his wife Vicky have been travelling further afield and in 2017 won the four dog Siberian Husky class at the Kivokempen Trail in Holland and even posting the second fastest time of the weekend (including the open class times) which he was thrilled about.

Together with Vicky they founded the UCSC in 2013 and as most of you will know put on some great races throughout the season. Plans for the future involve them doing more mid distance races on snow with their dogs.
